Home Automation Remote AccessHere's the scenario. You have remote office about an hours drive away. At the office there is broadband access and you have an IP Camera there so the office can ne monitored remotely. You would like to be able to turn the lights on/off and operate an automatic roller shutter via a web page. What possible solutions can be provided? Here's some solutionsFor the roller door: Use our X10 Motor Control Receiver. This would allow you to program and remotely control the roller door using an X10 controller. To control the systemIf you wish to control the system via the Internet you'll need to use HAL 2000. If the cost is prohibitive you'd be able to use the SC28 security system. It wouldn't have to replace the existing system, but could actually just be used as a secure control interface for the lights and doors. You'd be able to phone the panel, turn on the lights and put the door up and down using the control panel. For the lightsThe roller door options are X10 interfacing, so you would look to X10 for their lights as well. It would then depend on what sort of light fittings you wanted to control, we've got controls for screw in fittings and bayonet fittings. Home Automation Main MenuHome Automation Articles |
