Nokia Lumia 800

The Nokia Lumia 800 is Nokia’s first Windows Mobile 7 smartphone that has a 1.4GHz CPU, 16GB of onboard memory and 512MB of RAM

Externally the Lumia 800 is very similar to the Nokia N9, with the Lumia 800 having a design constructed from a polycarbonate that has a stiff, rubberised look and feel that gives the Lumia 800 a durable feel to the device.

The Lumia 800 has an 3.7 inch AMOLED touch screen with Nokia’s ClearBlack, a technology that makes the screen easier to see when outdoors and provides crisp, striking colours when inside and out. The camera of the Lumia 800 is an 8-megapixel device with Carl Zeiss lense. The camera has a quick shot ability so you can go from pocket to photo then to Facebook in a matter of seconds.

The Lumia 800 comes with Windows Phone 7 and has the Mango update already installed. Windows phone 7 is an easy to use operating system that has Live tiles that show you what’s happening in your upcoming appointments, your social networks, and any apps you have running. Updates from Facebook and Twitter are pulled together and displayed on your home screen.

Viewing, adding and editing contacts is a breeze and sms and emailing is oh so easy. Being a Microsoft product the device will easily sync with you Windows live or hotmail accounts. Also Skydrive is included that allows you to store media in the cloud for extra storage and backups should your handset ever be lost or stolen.

Windows Phone 7 also has Microsoft Office Mobile, which will allow you to create everything from Word and Excel to PowerPoint documents, letting you be productive when you’re out and about

Nokia has included with the Lumia 800 its GPS, Nokia Drive which gives turn-by-turn voice navigation combined with Nokia Maps to give you mobile navigation.
