The HTC Wildfire S is the successor to the HTC Wildfire and is a compact smartphone available exclusively on the Telstra network in Australia. The Wildfire S sports an extremely compact design, measuring just 101.3 x 59.4 x 12.3mm and weighs in at just 105 grams. This handset is noticeably smaller than most other smartphones and this is apparent when the Wildfire S is in your hand.
The HTC Wildfire S has a 600MHz CPU teamed with 512MB of RAM with the handset’s internal memory just 512MB. This can be expanded by the use of a MicroSD card.
The Wildfire S’ 3.2 inch capacitive touch screen proves adequate and supports a 320 x 480 resolution. Android Gingerbread 2.3.3 is the OS for the Wildfire S and this has been enchanced by HTC with the inclusion of HTC Sense. HTC Sense’s caller ID feature not only displays the caller’s name and phone number it also displays other information like the caller’s Facebook status or birthday.
The Wildfire S has a 5 megapixel camera, bluetooth, Wifi, 3G, FM radio and ther device can also be used as a MP3 player and a WiFi hotspot.
