The new iPad will be released in Australia on the 16th march 2012 and will come in a variety of memory sizes and will be available on a range of data plans that allow iPad owners to connect to mobile broadband and enjoy internet access on Australian mobile networks and via WiFi. The new iPad utilises a micro SIM for mobile network data access.
The third generation of the iPad has Retina display, a new A5X chip with quad-core graphics and a 5 megapixel, iSight camera that incorporates advanced optics that produces amazing photos and 1080p HD video. The new iPad has a 10 hour battery life while remaining thin and light, although slightly heavier and deeper than the iPad 2. The new iPad measures approximately 241mm x 185mm x 9.5mm.
The new Ipad is available in two colour variants black or white and comes in memory sizes of 16GB, 32GB or 64 GB.
The new Ipad is WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n) and 3G capable and will operate on 4G but currently the new iPad’s 4G operating frequencies are not supported by any of Australia’s network operators.

The New iPad charges via power adapter or USB cable connected to a computer. The battery gives up to 10 hours of watching videos, listening to music or surfing the web via Wi- Fi. It will also give up to 9 hours of surfing the web using the cellular data network.
The new iPad has Apple’s 5 mega-pixel iSight camera. This camera has been designed with advanced optics and lets you shoot spectacular photos and record 1080p HD video.The camera also has a backside illumination sensor that captures great-looking pictures in virtually any light.
The new iPad comes with inbuilt dictation so you can write an email, send text,.search the internet even create a note. This dictation will also let you dictate tweets with only your voice. No longer will you be need to type. Simply tap the microphone icon on the keyboard, issue your commands and your iPad responds. The tap ‘Done’ and your spoken words become written words. Dictation will also work with third-party apps, so you will be able to do things like update your Facebook status
