The new iPad will be released in Australia on the 16th march 2012 and will come in a variety of memory sizes and will be available on a range of data plans that allow iPad owners to connect to mobile broadband and enjoy internet access on Australian mobile networks and via WiFi. The new iPad utilises a micro SIM for mobile network data access.
The third generation of the iPad has Retina display, a new A5X chip with quad-core graphics and a 5 megapixel, iSight camera that incorporates advanced optics that produces amazing photos and 1080p HD video. The new iPad has a 10 hour battery life while remaining thin and light, although slightly heavier and deeper than the iPad 2. The new iPad measures approximately 241mm x 185mm x 9.5mm.
The new Ipad is available in two colour variants black or white and comes in memory sizes of 16GB, 32GB or 64 GB.
The new Ipad is WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n) and 3G capable and will operate on 4G but currently the new iPad’s 4G operating frequencies are not supported by any of Australia’s network operators.
