Samsung’s Galaxy Note, I9220, is a hybrid smartphone and tablet that’s been descriped as a phablet. The Galaxy Note has a 5.3 inch Super AMOLED touchscreen, a 1.4GHz dual-core CPU and 1GB of RAM. The Galaxy Note runs Google’s Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system and Samsung has hinted at a quarter 2 Ice Cream Sandwich (Android 4.0) update.

The 5.3 inch display is the largest screen size that still provides smartphone like portability. The HD Super AMOLED display, provides you with a high-resolution screen for an awesome viewing experience, allowing you to see and do more, while on the go. The display looks fantastic with great colours and good outdoor visibility.

At 147mm tall and 83mm across, the Galaxy Note is 9.7mm thick, the new Galaxy Note is big by smartphone standards and making phone calls and trying to reach key buttons with one hand is difficult. Using the Galaxy Note is a two-handed affair.

The Galaxy Note removes the need to carry a tablet and a phone as you can get access to emails and the Internet as well as make phone calls and send and receive text messages through the Galaxy Note.

The Samsung Galaxy Note I9220 comes with a stylus Samsung have dubbes the S Pen. This stylus allows you to point to icons, without having to pinch and enlarge the screen. With a tap of the S Pen you can makes menu selections. Using the S Pen, you can make drawings or write notes and email them. This could have many applications in the business sector as well as being handy and fun for consumers
