Angry Birds

Angry Birds has been a global phenomenon since it was first released for iOS devices in December of 2009. The mobile game immediately skyrocketed in popularity leading to books, toys, and other collectibles, as well as a whole host of sequels and spinoffs. The game quickly grew with four free expansions released within the first year, ensuring that there was plenty of Angry Birds fun yet to be had. In October of 2010 the original game was released for Android, and then ports were quickly made for the Playstation Portable, Facebook, and web browsers. The original Angry Birds with all the free additional content available was a nearly endless fountain of fun, but where Rovio really excelled was expanding the content. A new Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Seasons, was released for Halloween 2010, and new content is still released regularly with every major holiday. This effectively makes Angry Birds a never ending source of entertainment. In March of 2012, Angry Birds Space was released with the new challenge of using gravity, or the lack thereof, to solve the puzzles.

However, Angry Birds does not stop with just creating new puzzles for you to solve. The series was expanded with tie-ins to other intellectual property including Angry Birds Rio in March 2011 which changed the gameplay to fit with the plot of the animated movie Rio. Most recently, Angry Birds teamed up with Star Wars to create a new crossover complete with lasers, light sabers, and the force.

With new content always being added, each new version of Angry Birds seems better than the last, but what do you think? Do you stick with the original or enjoy each new version? Watch the Angry birds trailer below and see eactly what Angry Birds is.
