Telstra T-Hub
Telstra has made the home telephone sexy with a 7-inch touchscreen, internet connectivity and more.
The T-Hub connects to a BigPond broadband service via Wi-Fi and allows a limited range of web services such as BigPond news and weather are accessable and the T-Hub also has links to Facebook, Twitter and MySpace, YouTube. The Wi-Fi connectivity of the T-Hub requires a wireless router to be installed.
The T-Hub’s main role is that of a fixed line telephone that has a mobile phone like a contacts book, calendar and can send SMS messages.
The contacts phonebook and touch-to-call functionality is easy to use. Just scroll through the phone book and press the contact you want to call. The T-Hub can also load certain media files off USB or an SDHC card so you can view photos.
So how much Is It?
The cost of the T-Hub is $299 or some customers can opt to pay the T-Hub off over 24 months if they have a compatible Telstra home line and fixed Bigpond or wireless Bigpond package. The T-Hub seems like a cool addition for homes that currently use a Telstra Home Bundle.
