As of Wednesday the 6th March 2013, supermarket chain, Aldi, will have be a Virtual Mobile Network Operator, VMNO and will offer mobile phone plans. Aldi will use Telstra’s 3G network to deliver the data and calls.
Aldi will offer prepaid options for AU$15 and AU$30. Recharging will be available through Aldi supermarkets and online.
Aldi Mobile’s prepaid credit will reportedly last for a year, with calls charged at 12 cents per minute, 12 c text messages and data at 5 cents per MB.
Aldi will offer a $35 per month unlimited option that will give unlimited calls and texts, with 4GB of data included.
