Samsung announced their new flagship Smartphone, the GALAXY S5 at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona. The next version of the Galaxy S series, the Galaxy S5, will let customers enjoy great download speeds and a better experience with the new device. The with its 4G and Cat-4 LTE capability customers will be able to experience fast web browsing and downloading on this device.
The Galaxy S5 is slightly larger than the GALAXY S4 with a 5.1-inch HD screen. and the Samsung Galaxy S5 will come with an IP67 rating, meaning it has both water and dust resistance, which will be great news for people who expose their mobile to the elements.
The Samsung Galaxy S5 will have a built-in heart-rate monitor. As we look for better ways to stay fit and healthy this is a first for a Smartphone and a really interesting feature. As with the previous versions of the Samsung Galaxy, the Galaxy S5’s memory, will also expandable by using a microSD memory card, offering memory flexibility.
Features of the Galaxy S5 are as follows:
- A much better battery, which will last up to 20 per cent longer than the Galaxy S4. The Galaxy S5 will also have an ultra power-saving mode, which cuts down the phone’s functions to the bare essentials allowing the battery to last longer.
- A 16 megapixel rear camera that will have features like selective focus and sped-up autofocus, helping you to produce better quality photos.
- A fingerprint scanner will be built into the home button for added security. Galaxy S5 owners will also be able to teach the phone to recognise different fingerprints if the phone is being shared with multiple people.
