Fitness Buddy is an amazing iPhone and Android App to track your workouts, learn new workouts, build a workout routine and view and track your progress. Fitness Buddy features over 1700 different workout exercises, 1000 workout videos and 4000 exercise photos.
Your workouts can be altered according to what equipment you currently have at your disposal. Are you out on a road trip and can’t get to a gym? No problem you can do bodyweight exercises.
Fitness Buddy will keep you and your workouts on track as your workout schedule can be listed in a calendar view for you to easily keep track of.
Fitness Buddy now integrates with Apple Health App for Premium Plans (Settings -> Plans Health App Sharing)
Fitness Buddy lets you choose workout lists based on: your level (beginner, intermediate) and what type of workout you need such as: Bodyweight only (if you don’t have weights), or resistance band training, or goal specific training, even kettle bell training.
Fitness Buddy provides you with an exercise library full of over 1700 exercises that have been grouped by the muscles that you are looking to train. So if you want to strengthen your shoulders or delts, but you haven’t a clue how to go about this or which exercises to use , you simply click on the shoulders (or deltoids) on the body map in the app. This map of your muscles muscles really is comprehensive and is textbook quality.
You are also able to select exercises alphabetically from the huge range of exercises in the Body Focus library. Or from the main list you can select a range of core exercises or select: lower body, chest, back , shoulders, arms, cardio, or stretches.
Each of the exercises in Fitness Buddy are detailed with text and a pictures in a series of cards. After you’ve selected what you want to train your workout is scheduled and Fitness Buddy keeps track of your progress. You are able to see what you’ve completed as well as what is scheduled to do.
When you’re actually exercising, you can use the app’s built-in music player to create a quick playlist. Finally, you can view and export your history at any time.
