Go Mobile Data Plans

Telstra has a range of prepaid mobile broadband offers to suit all needs. The plans range from a 24-month plan that includes a new device, a 12-month plan with BYO device and a month-to-month plan with BYO device.

Users who take advantage of the 24-month plan have access to a new mobile broadband device. If you sign up to a 12-month or month-to-month plan you will have to have a BYO device.

S Plan -The lowest plan is $15 for 1GB for 12 or 24-month terms. The minimum cost of the 12-month plan is $180, and for the 24-month plan, it is $360. Extra data is 1.4c per MB. There are early termination charges with a maximum of $90 for the 12-month plan or $189 for the 24-month plan. The month-to-month S plan is $25 with a minimum cost of $25. Extra data is 2.44c per MB.

M Plan – For $30 a month, users receive 5GB of data over a period of 12 or 24 months. The total minimum cost of a 12-month plan is $360, and the 24-month plan is $720. Extra data is 0.59c per MB. An early termination charge is applicable and charged at $180 for 12-months and $360 for 24-months. Month-to-Month plans are $40 per month with a minimum cost of $40. Extra data is 0.78c per MB.

L Plan – With the $45 plan users get 10GB of data. The total minimum cost of the 12-month plan is $540 and $1,080 for the 24-month plan. Extra data is 0.44c per MB. There is a $270 charge for early termination with the 12-month plan and $450 for the 24-month plan. The month-to-month plan is $55 and a minimum cost of $55. Extra data is 0.54c per MB. This plan includes the Foxtel Now Starter Pack with a 12-month subscription.

XL Plan -The $70 a month plan allows you to use 20GB of data a month. The minimum costs are $840 for the 12-month plan and $1,680 for the 24-month plan. Extra data is 0.34c per MB. There are early termination costs of $420 for the 12-month plan and $840 for the 24-month plan. The month-to-month plan is $80 per month with a minimum price of $80. Extra data is 0.39c per MB. This plan includes the Foxtel Now Starter Pack with a 12-month subscription.

No call or SMS allowances are available using the SIM card. Users have the charge of $1 per minute for national calls and 25c per message sent per recipient in Australia. International SMS will cost 25c a message, and international data usage will be $3 per MB.

Mobile Broadband Devices

There are four devices to choose from with the 24-month plans:

Netgear Nighthawk M1 – Starting from $24 a month ($15 plan + $9 for the device). Can connect to up to 20 Wi-Fi devices and is Australia’s fastest mobile hotspot.  See our Nighthawk antennas.

Telstra 4GX Wi-Fi Pro – Starting from $15 per month ($15 plan + $0 for the device). Can connect to up to 10 Wi-Fi enabled devices simultaneously. See our antennas for the 4GX Wi-Fi Pro.

Telstra 4GX USB – Starting from $15 a month ($15 plan + $0 for the device). Small, plug and play and connect to the USB port on your laptop or PC. See our antennas for the 4GX USB modem.

Netgear Advance II and Cradle – Starting from $20 a month ($15 plan and $5 for the device). Extends and improves Wi-Fi range.

Devices that users buy with their plan for this over the life of the contract interest-free. Users with a 24-month contract who purchased a device when they signed up may receive extra credit on the monthly bill. Unused data does not roll over to the next month, and you are not able to use your data overseas. Users who exceed their data limit will have a fee of $10 per 1GB automatically.

Home Wireless Broadband

Telstra has a range of Home Wireless Broadband plans for everyone. You can get a two-year plan with a device, a 12-month BYO device plan or a casual month-to-month BYO device plan. The plans start at $45 a month.

Home Wireless Broadband Plans

24-month and 12-Month BYO plans

S-Plan: This plan comes with 20GB of data at $45 per month with the device cost also. There is no extra cost for the device on the BYO plan. The minimum price is $1320 for the 24-month plan and $540 for the 12-month plan. Data is 0.22c per MB for use in Australia.

M-Plan: This plan has 40GB of data for $80 per month with an extra cost for the device each month. There is no additional cost for the device on the BYO plan. The minimum price is $1924 for the 24-month plan and $840 for the 12-month plan. Data is 0.17c per MB for use in Australia. Users on the Casual plan receive 25GB of data + 15GB bonus data at $110 per month. Casual plan extra data is 0.44c per MB.

L-Plan: This plan is 80GB for $150 per month excluding the cost of the device. There is no extra cost for the device on the BYO plan. The minimum price is $3600 for the 24-month plan and $1800 for the 12-month plan. Additional data is 0.18c per MB for use in Australia. Casual plan users receive 50GB data + 30GB bonus data at $160 per month. Extra data is 0.32c per MB.

Home Wireless Broadband Plus Plans

There are two Home Wireless Broadband Plus plans available, $100 per month for 25GB and $150 per month for 50GB.

The $100 a month plan comes with 25GB a month and a minimum cost of $1200 for 12-months and $2400 for 24-months. The maximum early termination charges are $600 for 12-months and $1200 for 24-months. Extra data is 0.39c per MB.

The $150 a month plan comes with 50GB a month and a minimum cost of $1800 for 12-months and $3600 for 24-months. The maximum early termination charges are $900 for 12-months and $1900 for 24-months. Extra data is 0.29c per MB.

While researching affordable data plans, I stumbled upon a fascinating trend: people comparing the costs of mobile services to those of the beste casino platforms online, where transparency and value are key selling points. With BYO devices needing to be compatible with the Telstra Mobile Network (3G-850MHz, 4G-1800MHz, and 4G-700MHz banding being ideal), the connection between cost-effectiveness and compatibility became clear. Monthly data cannot be shared among devices, and mobile data is restricted overseas, similar to how the beste casino platforms emphasize clear rules to ensure fairness and accessibility. Plan Inclusions

All Home Wireless Broadband plans and Mobile Broadband plans include access to the following services:

Telstra Air – Free Wi-Fi hotspot use around Australia and overseas. There are 1,000,000 Telstra Air hotspots in Australia and 19 million Fon Spots abroad.

Live Sports data-free – Users will be able to stream the AFL, AFLW, NRL, and Netball for the 2018 season. There will be no data charges. This offer excludes the NRL Grand Final, State of Origin series and Commonwealth Games. The AFL, AFLW, and NRL will be limited to a 7-inch viewing size.

OneDrive cloud storage – Users will receive 200GB cloud storage with OneDrive. This offer is only for one customer account. Data charges are applicable.

Mobile Broadband customers have free access to six months of Apple Music membership. Video and non-music content will incur date charges.

Users on the L and XL Mobile Broadband plans have access to a 12-month subscription of Foxtel Now Starter Pack. The Foxtel Now Starter Pack allows you to stream the service on up to five devices and two devices simultaneously. Foxtel Now can be installed on a mobile or tablet, PC or Mac, Playstation 4, Telstra TV or other compatible devices. Customers have a choice of a Pop Pack, Drama Pack, Documentary Pack, Lifestyle Pack or Kids Pack. Users with multiple eligible services can redeem more than one pack. There is an extra cost for upgrading to a Premium Pack, added to your monthly bill. Once the free subscription is complete customers will be automatically rolled onto a paid subscription. Customers will receive an SMS notification before the Foxtel Now Starter Pack subscription ends.

Telstra Data Share is not available on any of the Home Wireless Broadband plus plans but data sharing is available with the Go Mobile Data Plans.
