Telstra’s T-Box provides a new internet and tv experience. T-Box allows you to watch free-to-air and digital channels. You can watch them in standard and high definition. This device is digital set top box will give you access to free-to-air digital tv channels and will, when connected to an eligible BigPond broadband service via wifi, give you can access to BigPond Internet TV channels on your television. T-Box offers unmetered access YouTube and to seven BigPond TV channels:
- Live News – 24-hour continuous news with live crosses to breaking news
- Music – Non-stop music channel so you can watch music videos anytime
- Sport – Sports news around the clock, plus 18hours of live coverage every Saturday and Sunday with BigPond Sports Weekend
- Racing – Thoroughbred race meets covered live from around the country with TVN
- V8 Supercars – Non-stop coverage of V8 racing, including replays and hot V8 action
- Footy – AFL match replays and updates
- League – NRL match replays and updates
The T-Box also has an on-screen electronic program guide, allowing you to browse programs seven days ahead by channel or time.
Additionally the T-Box is an intelligent Personal Video Recorder (PVR) that utilises two internal tuners so you can watch one tv show while recording another. You can also use the T-Box to record entire tv series and manage your recordings. The T-Box also allows you to pause, rewind and record live tv. The T-Box can store over 100 hours of standard definition video.
T-Box can be purchased outright for $299 or selected customers can pay $35 upfront and just $11 per month for 24 months.
