Telstra has released a new prepaid mobile broadband USB modem, the MF626i. The MF626i features a small, lightweight design and has a three colour LED that indicates the modem’s status.
The MF626i works on Telstra’s Next G network which provides superior coverage and data speeds. This device is manufactured by ZTE and has HSUPA 7.2Mbps downlink with 5.7 Mbps uplink speeds. The MF626i also sports an external antenna port that allows an external antenna to connect up to the device that gives increased coverage (Telstra MF626i Antennas). The MF626i utilises quad band GSM and tri band UMTS. The device will also accept a micro SD memory card with cards up to 8GB Micro SDHC memory being supported which should be ample for on the go storage.
The MF626i has its drivers and connection manager software on the device iself so there is no need for an installation CD the device plugs straight into the USB port of your computer and gives plug and play installation. The MF626i is compatible with both for Windows and MAC Operating Systems.
The MF626i is locked to the Telstra Network. You should contact Telstra if you wish to have your device unlocked.

Ive got one of these… great, but its not compatible with ANY 3g routers, all the routers out there cover all the models BEFORE this one but not this one… its retarded.
