How To Sync Hotmail accounts With Your Apple iPhone

Microsoft has enabled Exchange ActiveSync for Hotmail so not only can you get push Hotmail emails on your iPhone, but you’ll also be able to sync your Hotmail contacts and calendars over the air.

Setting up Hotmail Exchange ActiveSync on your iPhone is easy just follow the step by step instructions below:

  1. On your iPhone, Tap on Settings, then “Mail, Contacts, Calendars”
  2. Tap on “Add Account” in the Accounts page
  3. Tap on “Microsoft Exchange” to configure Hotmail access
  4. Fill out the information as follows:
    1. Email: Type in your Hotmail email address
    2. Domain: leave empty
    3. Username: Type in your Hotmail email address
    4. Password: Type in your Hotmail password
    5. Description:  enter a name, for example. Hotmail Account
  5. Type in  m.hotmail.com for the Server name
  6. Tap Next
  7. Select what you want to sync from your Hotmail account (Mail, Contacts, Calendar, and tap Save.
