iPad Air (1st Generation)
The original iPad Air (1st Generation), announced on October 22, 2013 and released on November 1, 2013, marked a significant design shift for Apple's tablet lineup. With a thinner profile than its predecessors, the iPad Air drew similarities to the contemporaneous iPad Mini 2.
The iPad Air's successor, the iPad Air 2, was unveiled on October 16, 2014, and hit the market on October 22, 2014. However, the 64 GB and 128 GB variants were eventually discontinued, followed by the 16 GB and 32 GB models on March 21, 2016, after the introduction of the 9.7-inch iPad Pro. In contrast, the iPad Mini 2 remained in production until March 21, 2017, when it was finally phased out with the announcement of the 2017 iPad.
