iPhone X Overview
On the 3rd November 2018, the iPhone X (pronounced 10) came out in the world. The design was something new from Apple, the first iPhone not to have the traditional home button. Coming out with a complete change in appearance, the iPhone X looks like something new and different from Apple.
Features
Apple is using OLED technology with the display with sensors to read and adjust to ambient light. Graphics and images on the screen have more colour and brightness, making things easier to see. Inside is a neural engine that works with an artificial intelligence accelerator. Face ID is a controversial addition to the iPhone X, and this led to the removal of Touch ID. A fun inclusion of Animojis is a great way to be silly with friends.
There is a new screen layout with the home button removed. The bezels are smaller, almost non-existent, giving the iPhone X more screen for its size. Users can use two apps at the same time with a multifunction feature. With the front camera, this has a DXO mark of 97.
Specs
The system-on-chip is the Apple Bionic A11 with a 2.39GHz hexa-core 64-bit processor. Memory is 3GB RAM, and the battery is a 2716 mAh Li-ion. For the display, this is 5.8-inches Super Retina HAD with AMOLED and 2436x1125 px with 458 PPI. The rear camera is 12MP with the six-element lens, quad-LED True Tone flash with Slow Sync and an aperture of f1.8. With the front camera, this is 7MP with f/2.2 aperture.
The iPhone X is splash, water, and dust resistant with a rating of IP67. There are Qi wireless charging and fast charging capabilities included.

The iPhone X comes in Silver or Space Grey and has two internal storage choices - 64GB or 256GB.
Accessories
When you purchase your iPhone X, you are likely to want to get some accessories. However, what should you consider getting?
Well, one of the first things many people buy is a case to protect their investment. We need our phones to work, and a drop or a cracked screen can have real-life effects. There is a range of cases available, from thin ones that retain the small size of the phone to more prominent, chunky cases that are the ultimate in protection (But might not end up fitting into your pocket).
With Qi wireless charging being there, getting yourself a Qi wireless charger will add to the iPhone X experience. Getting spare USB to Lightning cables, one for work and a spare one for the home will make sure you always can charge your phone. A genuine Apple cable is your best bet for safety. Get a powerbank for power on the go. These come in smaller versions and high capacity models in a range of prices.
Bluetooth speakers for your home will mean you have good quality music coming to you. You can get some wireless Apple earbuds if you want to go cord-free. Other Bluetooth headphones are an option if Apple’s earbuds do not seem like your thing.
For your car, getting a phone cradle is a great idea. So is an in-car charger to keep your phone in charge while you use a music or map app. Getting a Bluetooth kit for your car means you can take calls while driving. Bluetooth car kits can be internal or external.
Power and Battery
The iPhone X boasts an impressive battery life, with up to 2 hours more usage than its predecessor, the iPhone 7. In terms of specific usage, the device offers up to 21 hours of talk time, 12 hours of internet use, and 13 hours of video playback, all on wireless connections. For audio playback, the iPhone X can last an impressive 60 hours on a single charge.
Charging Capabilities
The iPhone X is fast-charge capable, allowing users to charge their device to 50% in just 30 minutes. The built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery also supports wireless charging, compatible with Qi-certified chargers. Additionally, the device can be charged via a USB connection to a computer system or power adapter. Apple announced the iPhone X on the 12th of September 2017 with a launch date of the 3rd November 2017. Pre orders commenced for this device commenced on the 27th October 2017. The iPhone X is available for outright purchase for AU$1,579 for the 64GB model or AU$1,829 for 256GB, and is available in Silver and Space Grey.
